Farmers are the backbone of America, and Congress deals with many important pieces of legislation to address farming issues. The reauthorization of the farm bill is set to take place in 2007, and will involve balancing of issues affecting consumers and agriculture.

American farming is vital to protect our nation's food supply from the threat of terrorism, and continued research into agriculture is necessary to promote healthy living and more efficient farming.
