Governor Nikki Haley Appoints Representative Tim Scott to US Senate

I would like to congratulate my colleague and friend, Representative Tim Scott, on his appointment by Governor Nikki Haley to United States Senate. Following a great conservative leader such as Senator DeMint leaves Tim with large shoes to fill, however, I am confident he is the man for the job. Tim’s strong conservative beliefs for smaller government, fiscal responsibility, and lower taxes will guide him as he serves on behalf of the state of South Carolina. I look forward to watching his successes and wish him the best as he begins this journey.
