On Saturday, April 20, 2013, Congressman Westmoreland will join Senators Chambliss and Isakson and the members of Georgia’s Congressional Delegation at the annual Academy Day at Dobbins Air Reserve Base.

 

Academy Day is an opportunity for high school students to learn more about the application process for service academies and to meet with their Members of Congress. Eligible students must receive a nomination from either a Member of the US Senate or House of Representatives to be admitted to a service academy. 

 

The United States Service Academies include the:

Military Academy in West Point, NY

Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD

Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT

Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY

Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO
